‘OUR HERO’. What a tragedy! The whole country is mourning the passing

ABOVE YOUTUBE He was 35 years old when he died of cancer.

His family called the father of two a “warrior” and a “hero.”

Luke died on August 2 at home in the company of his loved ones, according to his wife Beckey.

Luke had joked with his fans three weeks before that he was still “alive and kicking.”

Via his YouTube channel, I Will Not Be Defeated, this brave and amazing Grimsby man told his tale to people all over the world.

He was found to have a fourth-stage leiomyosarcoma in August 2022.

This incredibly uncommon disease forms in the smooth muscles and makes up only 0.17 percent of all cancer cases that are discovered each year.

Luke was only expected to live for a year, but he beat the odds by going through multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

Luke’s oncologist told him in October of last year that he probably only had a few months to live. Again, he surpassed his own expectations.

But on August 2, Luke departed from this life in the company of his loved ones at home.

He is survived by his wife Beckey, mother Lisa, father Brian, two daughters, three-year-old Scarlett, and many more family members.

Death, his most recent video, was made available on July 18. “I feel like death is on me,” said Luke. It was his thirteenth day of illness.

“It’s just a quick video to keep everyone informed,” he said as he sat back in his driver’s seat.

“On one of my other videos, I was asked the other day if I was still alive.”

“Just kidding, buddy—I’m still alive and well here.”

Luke said that his mental state was getting better and that he would have to be strong to get through it.

“Just kidding, buddy, I’m still here and I’m kicking.”

Luke stated that he needed to be strong to get through it and that his mental health was improving.

Subsequently, he revealed an oxygen machine next to him and explained he had been experiencing respiratory difficulties. With what was believed to be a chest infection or “disease progression,” he had been bedridden for two days.

He remarked, “I haven’t felt anything like it.” To be honest, I haven’t been using my phone, but people have been asking me if I’m okay and other stuff.

“I’ve been coughing, out of breath, and sick.” However, I’m improving and I’m not going to quit up.

VERY UNIQUE AND IMPREGNABLE

Luke’s mother and wife, Lisa and Beckey, told GrimsbyLive that their son was “always put others first,” even at times of sadness or pain. Luke was also described as “kind, loyal, and funny.”

“We were essentially in the dark from Luke’s diagnosis two years ago, and we were searching Google to try and find out information,” the woman remarked.

“We had no idea what to do, so we were hopeless.”
