A devastating accident on the SC-390 highway, along the stretch that cuts through the municipality of Ipira in the Midwest region of Santa Catarina, ended in tragedy on the afternoon of Saturday, the 7th. The victim was riding a BMW S1000 RR, a high-performance, luxury motorcycle known for its speed, precision handling, and high market value. The other vehicle involved was a Renault Sandero, driven by a 30-year-old woman. The crash occurred during a curve, when, according to the Military Highway Police (PMRv), the motorcyclist crossed over into the opposite lane. The impact was direct, leaving both vehicles badly damaged, but the motorcycle took the brunt of the force.
Emergency services rushed to the scene within minutes. Firefighters worked quickly to stabilize the motorcyclist, administering first aid before transporting him to the nearest hospital. The driver of the Sandero was tested with a breathalyzer, which confirmed she had no alcohol in her system.
