According to an expert, Melania shot her husband down when he made an allegation regarding his behaviour when they were watching troops marching below them.
According to lip reading specialist Nicola Hickling, however, this was a light-hearted conversation rather than a heated argument.
She said that her husband made a joking remark after Melania complimented the marching troops, telling him that “they’re good.”
According to Hickling, he said, “I pushed my finger on one of them.”
Then, Melania allegedly mockingly told him, “You didn’t do that.”
Having been called out, Trump had no way of doubling down on his joke after she shot it down, according to the expert, so he simply agreed, telling her, “You’re right, I never pushed my finger on them.”
The couple seemed to be enjoying one other’s company and the ceremony of the US Army’s 250th anniversary and Trump’s 79th birthday on the same day, based on their touches on her knee.
Since his first term in 2016, there have been many rumours of conflict between the two, and when he returned to the White House this year, the rumours only became stronger.
The reason behind this is that the 55-year-old former model chooses to maintain a low profile, rarely appears in public, and was conspicuously absent from her husband’s campaign trail.
Aside from avoiding Trump’s court appearances, Melania only went to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn and the funeral of the late Pope Francis the day before her birthday.
The New York Times also reported that the mother of one has only visited the White House a few times during her husband’s months in office, totalling less than 14 days.
Others interpret this as an indication that things aren’t going well in the Trump home, but it could just be that she chooses to live outside of the political monument.
