Vice President-elect J.D. Vance didn’t mince words on

Thursday night as he unloaded on Democrats in a tense discussion over the looming government shutdown.

Vance, along with Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republican lawmakers, gathered in Johnson’s office after a critical spending deal failed in the House of Representatives.

The meeting was meant to address the urgent issue of government funding, with the shutdown deadline fast approaching on Friday.

In a heated exchange, Vance, who is known for his blunt style, called the situation “bullsh*t”

as tensions flared over the lack of progress in securing a funding agreement.

His comments underscored the frustration among many Republican lawmakers who are at odds with Democratic leaders over spending priorities and the path forward.

The uncertainty surrounding the shutdown persisted as Friday morning arrived, with no clear resolution in sight.

It remains unclear whether Republicans will be able to strike a deal before the deadline, or if a shutdown is now unavoidable.

As the clock ticks down, all eyes are on Congress to see whether an agreement can be reached or

if the government will grind to a halt, bringing major federal services to a standstill.
