Brian mocked his younger sister Linda when their grandmother Marlene left him her house and only gave Linda five rusty old clocks. Linda, however, was unaware of the treasure hidden inside those timepieces.

When Brian and Linda visited their grandmother, Brian couldn’t hide his sarcasm, taunting Linda about her academic life. Both had come to visit their ailing 90-year-old grandmother after she called them, requesting to see them urgently.

After the funeral, Linda and Brian were summoned to a lawyer’s office for the reading of Marlene’s will. Brian was thrilled to learn he had inherited Marlene’s house, a fact that Linda accepted with grace despite the renovations she had just completed.

Linda took the clocks back to the city, not paying much attention to them until one day she noticed an inscription on one of them that read “OPEN IT.” Intrigued, she opened the clock and discovered a note from her grandmother.
