A horrifying mass shooting has unfolded in downtown Chicago late this evening, sending shockwaves across the city and the nation.
Eyewitnesses report chaos erupting as gunfire broke out in a crowded commercial area near Millennium Park, forcing families, tourists, and workers to run for cover.
At least 15 people are confirmed injured, with multiple victims in critical condition. Local law enforcement has sealed off the area, and SWAT teams have been deployed as part of an ongoing manhunt.
Unconfirmed reports suggest this may be gang-related, but officials have yet to issue a formal statement.
Residents are urged to avoid the area and follow emergency alerts as the situation unfolds.
This tragedy adds to a growing list of high-profile shootings plaguing American cities in 2025—raising fresh concerns about public safety, gun laws, and the political will to act.
