Jimmy Kimmel Sad News

As Jimmy Kimmel prepares to host the Academy Awards for the fourth time, he’s hinting that his long-running talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, may soon come to an end.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the 56-year-old late-night host admitted he’s seriously considering stepping away once his current contract expires.

“I think this is my final contract,” Kimmel said. “I hate to even mention it because everyone’s laughing at me now—each time I think that, and then it turns out not to be the case.”

Kimmel Live! is celebrating its 21st anniversary, prompting the host to reflect on his career and future.

He still has a little over two years left on his deal but feels that might be enough. “That seems pretty good,” he said. “That seems like enough.”

Looking ahead, Kimmel is uncertain about what comes next. He mentioned interests outside of television, including cooking, drawing, and sculpture, but nothing is definite.

His comments suggest he’s ready for a change, though fans will likely miss his late-night presence.

Kimmel’s openness about possibly ending the show adds a new layer to his public persona, showing his readiness to explore new creative avenues.

Whether he’ll return to late-night TV or pursue other passions remains to be seen. But for now, the future of Jimmy Kimmel Live! feels like it’s approaching a major turning point.
