Comedian and actor Martin Mull has passed away at age 80, his daughter Maggie Mull confirmed. In an emotional Instagram post, she shared that he died at home after a long illness, describing him as a brilliant, multi-talented artist known for his humor and even his Red Roof Inn commercials. Mull was best known for playing Leon Carp on Roseanne, Coach Kraft on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Gene Parmesan on Arrested Development. In 2016, he earned his only Emmy nomination for Veep. He was also a songwriter, penning the country parody “A Girl Named Johnny Cash,” and performed musical comedy, opening for icons like Zappa and Springsteen. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and creativity.
