President Donald Trump wasted little time poking fun at pop icon Taylor Swift after she was seemingly booed at the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
The three words Taylor Swift used to describe her reaction to being booed during the Super Bowl 2025 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles have been made public.
On Sunday, while the 35-year-old singer was on the Jumbotron inside Caesars Superdome, die-hard Birds fans immediately booed her, causing Swift to pause and smile.
“What’s going on?” Swift appeared to say, who was at the game to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Following the boos, Trump took to social media to make fun of the singer after his short appearance at Super Bowl LIX.
“Taylor Swift was the only one who had a worse night than the Kansas City Chiefs.” She was booed out of the stadium. MAGA is very quick to punish!” Along with a video of the event, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The crowd at Super Bowl 59 went crazy when cameras at the Caesars Superdome turned to Trump for the national anthem.
Before the game in New Orleans, singer Jon Batiste sang the national anthem. Cameras moved around the stadium and watched the coaches and players move to the music. But when the cameras turned to Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka, the crowd cheered loudly. Trump was standing and giving a proud salute.
Check out a comparison video of how Swift and Trump were greeted:
Trump sat down for the traditional Super Bowl interview before the game and spoke with Fox News host Bret Baier.
Trump spoke about winning the 2024 presidential election, which led to him praising the Kansas City Chiefs and some of their players.
Below is a transcript of the exchange:
BAIER: “You won the popular vote. You won all the swing states. Have you thought about how to try to bring the country together to reach out to find common ground? Have you thought about that or how that might go?”
Trump: “I’d love to do it. But I would say this: We have to come together, but to come together, that’s only one thing that’s going to do it, and that’s massive success. Success will bring the country together, but it’s hard. And I say it’s hard — I just signed a bill allowing for women not to have to be punished by men in sports. In other words, men are not going to be allowed to play in sports against women. It’s ridiculous.”
BAIER: “You’re a sports guy, you’re a football fan. Size up these two teams.”
Trump: “I’m a big fan of both teams, they’re sort of different. Philadelphia have one of the greatest running backs, Saquon. You know, Saquon had an uncle who’s a great fighter, great fighter, Iran Barkley his name was. So you have a great running back. You really have a great quarterback. The other team, the quarterback who really knows how to win. He’s a great, great quarterback.”
BAIER: “So game prediction?”
Trump: “I hate to do it. I’ll just say that I watched this great quarterback, who has, by the way, a phenomenal wife, okay? She’s a Trump fan, she’s a MAGA fan, so I happen to love her, okay? But she’s a great person. I watched her being interviewed, I said, ‘Boy, this is pretty good.’ But she’s great, and he’s great. I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City. I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia has a fantastic — it’s going to be just a great game.”
