A woman sought advice after her in-laws repeatedly referred to her as her husband’s “best friend” instead of acknowledging her as his wife. Initially confused, she later learned that her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and father-in-law had been secretly betting on the longevity of her marriage, with some even predicting it would end in less than a year.
The “best friend” label was part of their scheme to undermine her relationship. After confronting her father-in-law, the family erupted in conflict, leading her husband to consider going no-contact with his mother and sister.
